Student Food Pantry

The UGA Student Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization open to all students (undergraduate and graduate) with a student ID. Located on the first level of the Tate Student Center. Free.

Food Scholarship - Let All the Big Dawgs Eat

Supports students who struggle to afford adequate nutrition and allows them to concentrate on academic success without the worry of securing their next meal. Administered once per semester by the Tate Student Center within UGA Student Affairs, the scholarships allow students to participate in the meal plan through the University’s award-winning Food Services department. Student scholarship recipients have the option of dining with their peers in dining halls across campus when they choose, as frequently as they choose, seven days per week.

Bulldog Basics

Through an eStore, Bulldog Basics provides toiletry and personal care items to UGA students. To begin your order, visit the Bulldog Basics website. Free.

Health Sciences Campus Hygiene Closet

Located in Rhodes Hall (Garden level student lounge) on UGA's Health Sciences Campus, this resource provides a variety of hygiene and personal care items. Free.

School Supply Closet

The School Supply Closet provides donated school supplies for the UGA community. Some resources currently in stock include pens, paper, scantrons, notebooks, binders, dividers, and pencils. The closet is housed in Aderhold Hall in the College of Education, room 330 (third floor). This space is open from 8-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and is available to anyone who may need free resources. Free.

Get into Career Gear

Get into Career Gear is an annual fall event that offers students assistance with acquiring professional attire. Clothing and monetary donations are welcome throughout the year. Get into Career Gear is a collaborative effort between the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), campus partners, and the community. Free.

United Way Northeast Georgia

There are numerous community and social services in the Athens-Clarke County area open year-round, including hundreds of charitable organizations. Free.

Employment with UGA Dining Services

In addition to convenience to campus and flexibility in working around class schedules, Dining Services provides student employees with a free meal for every shift.
